According to one of the popular legends, the warrior sage Parashurama reclaimed the land of Kerala from sea with the power of his characteristic battle-axe. A land of canals and lagoons, lakes and rivers, which Kerala backwaters have now become a part of the lives of its people and a kaleidoscope for the visitors to see the rural and real life in the heart of Kerala. The tough and labor-intensive jobs of boat building, prawn cultivation and coir manufacture are a part of the daily livelihood of Keralites. Alapuzha is often the starting-point of the boat cruise through these backwaters as one reaches the land of Kuttanad, also known as the rice bowl of Kerala because of its paddy fields. Kumarakom has a spectacular lagoon to behold and coconut trees have become icons of Kerala tourism industry.

There are bird sanctuaries to see along the shores and the village life has the attraction of simplicity and old-age world. There are bungalows that have now been converted into heritage hotels and ride of local houseboats called 'Kettuvallams' is indispensable. Kollam's lagoons, rivers and lakes are delightful and Kayamkulam and Ashtamudi Lakes are some of the most visited tourist spots here. Kochi or Cochin has traditional snake boat races with 130-feet long Chundan boats as its stars that add further value to its backwaters. The most prominent among these races are Nehru Trophy Boat Race and Aranmula Boat Race. Veli in the southern part of Kerala and Madayara, Peravur, Ashtamudi and Chetuva in its northern part are other favores tourist destinations. Day 01 : Arrive Cochin

Day 02 : Cochin
Morning breakfast at hotel and followed by city tour of Cochin "Queen of Arabian Sea" and "Venice of the East" visiting The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry is renowned for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana. The Chinese fishing nets are huge cantilevered fishing nets believed to havebrought to Kochi by Chinese traders, Cochin fort. Overnight at hotel.
Cochin

Day 03 : Cochin/ Munnar
Morning breakfast at hotel and drive to Munnar, the famous hill station of Kerala. Munnar is situated near the Anaimudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Evening visit Munnar town for shopping of local Tea and to have a gilmpse of Munnar town. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Munnar
Morning breakfast at hotel and leave for sighseeing of Munnar visiting Lockhourt Gap, devikulam Tea Garden View, Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Dam & Top Station. Evening enjoy the activities arranged in th hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05 : Munnar/ Periyar
Morning breakfast at hotel and drive on a scenic route dotted with plantations of rubber, cardamom, cocoa, green pepper and areca nut, to the wildlife reserve at Periyar. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Evening enjoy the magnificence of nature beauty of the town. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06 : Periyar/ Kumarakom
Early morning enjoy a boat ride on Lake Periyar to see wild elephants and Later after breakfast drive to Kumarakom near Kottayam. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon explore the cityor optional short boat cruis in Kumarakom back water. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Kumarakom/ Alleppey
Morning after leisure breakfast drive a short distance before switching over to a board House boat and sail through many canals and waterways up to Alleppey. Overnight in House boat.

Day 08 : Alleppey/ Trivandrum/Kovalam:
Morning after breakfast at house boat board your transport for an interesting drive to Kovalam. Enroute city tour of Trivandrum visiting the ancient temple of Sri Padmanabhaswamy is one of te major attractions in the city of Thiruvananthapuram. Thereafter continue your drive to Kovalam beach. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 09 : Kovalam
Morning breakfast at hotel. full day relax at beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 : Kovalam
Morning breakfast at hotel. full day relax at beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 : Kovalam/Trivandrum
Morning breakfast at hotel. Intime meeting/assistance at hotel and transfer to trivandrum airport to board return flight. Hotel check out at 1200 noon.
